The 18th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Agriculture and Food Security, held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania.

The PS Dr. Caroline Karugu chaired the session of Principal and Permanent Secretaries during the 18th Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Agriculture and Food Security, held in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Karugu emphasized the importance of regional collaboration in strengthening food security, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and enhancing intra-EAC trade. She also highlighted the need for harmonized standards, climate-resilient strategies, and collective efforts toward achieving the goals of the EAC Treaty and the Sustainable Development Agenda.

The Kenyan delegation was led by the Principal Secretary for Livestock Development, Mr. Jonathan Mueke, alongside other senior officials.
