Cabinet Approves KSh 5 Trillion National Infrastructure Fund
Today, Cabinet Secretary Hon. Beatrice Askul Moe joined fellow Cabinet members in a full Cabinet meeting chaired by His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto at State House, Nairobi.
During the meeting, the Cabinet deliberated on and approved the KSh 5 trillion National Infrastructure Fund, a major national initiative aimed at accelerating development across the country. A key component of the fund is the construction of 50 dams in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Areas (ASALs), a move expected to enhance water security, support agriculture, and improve livelihoods in vulnerable regions.
The fund will also support other critical infrastructure projects, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive growth, climate resilience, and sustainable development nationwide.
