East African Leaders Mark 10 Years of the Swahili Commission’s Regional Impact
Hon. Beatrice Askul Moe joined leaders and partners from across the East African Community in celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Swahili Commission for East Africa (KAKAMA). The event, graced by Zanzibar’s Second Vice President, H.E. Hemed Suleiman Abdullah, highlighted Swahili’s vital role in uniting nations, fostering regional communication, and driving economic growth. The Council of Ministers reaffirmed its commitment to supporting KAKAMA’s mission to promote Swahili’s development and strengthen regional cohesion. Distinguished guests included Hon. Dr. Riziki Pembe Juma, Hon. Nestor Kayobera, Dr. Caroline Asiimwe, and EAC institutional representatives.
