Today, the Principal Secretary for EAC Affairs, Dr. Caroline Karugu, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Mombasa County, Abdullswamad Sherrif Nassir to discuss Mombasa’s participation in the Jumuiya Cross-Border Market Initiative for MSMEs and the facilitation of transit cargo from EAC Partner States.

The Governor reaffirmed his strong commitment to regional trade by removing all truck parking fees from county roads and actively engaging stakeholders to resolve concerns over transit fees for trucks from EAC Partner States.
