Senate Receives Briefing on Emergency Relief and Development Initiatives

Hon Beatrice Askul Moe and Hon Geoffrey Ruku, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, appeared before the Senate Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations to discuss preparedness and mitigation measures aimed at addressing starvation and livestock losses caused by prolonged drought. The session was also attended by Principal Secretaries for ASALs and Regional Development Kello Harsama, Ismail Maalim (Special Programmes), CEOs/MDs of Regional Development Agencies and technical staff from the two Ministries.
